Last night's one-hour special, which looked like a repeat - was it?
Watched about 5 minutes, and all it did was confirm for me how dreadful Emm had become. The humour in the old days was gentle, realistic stuff (Seth, Amos and Mr Wilkes).
Now it seems that Marlon is considered a wonderfully funny character, and we had to put up with much gushing praise from the likes of Deena Payne and Tony Audenshawe.

I don`t know whoever thought Marlon was funny. Probably the same people who think Ricky Gervaise is funny too. I only laughed once in that hour. And that was when Betty was gossping about Charity Dingle. "She`s had so many notches on her bedpost I`m surprised her bed hasn`t collapsed by now...Morning Vicar (when she spots Ashley) And I smiled in that storyline with Edna and her 'Tommy Cooper' hat. Other than that it was ok I s`pose. And yes Marlon we know animal dung stinks....so does your overacting. Give it a rest please ;D ;D

It could`ve been a repeat as I didn`t see anything new in it really. And it seemed the way Eli was talking was that he had jsut joined. So yeah I`d say it was a repeat.

It didn't have an (R) at the side of it in the TV Times so it must have been the first showing.
It was worth watching just to see the wonderful Seth.
His lovely humour is much missed. ( ( especially when compared to the over the top, gurning Marlon, and the objectionable Eli. )

Eli is obviously the Emmerdale Producers golden boy as he`s featured in a lot of Emmerdale eps lately. I much prefer the cleaned up Eli to the scruffy bearded one. Although if he left tomorrow I wouldn`t be heartbroken.
