Mmm.....It was OK I suppose.......I was a bit puzzled as to why Grandpa took all that time to seal round all the doors..then waited till all the smoke was in the house before putting a towel at the bottom of the door lol

I thought it was rather good, with plenty of excitement and good special effects. The beginning was rather predictable with the windscreen being broken to save grandpa, but I didn't predict that it would be Sylvia who would do it.
Then Donna's little adventure in the Sontaran space ship was good as well and I liked the fact that she got a bit of independence from the Doctor.
I loved the UNIT flying ship and the CGI for the most part was brilliant. But the end was so predictable with the geeky kid saving the Doctor's life. It would be nice if somewhere other than modern day Earth got invaded for once though. Why are the early 2000's so popular for aliens to invade I wonder?

On the whole they were two enjoyable episodes ( apart from the fact I am sure the Sontarans were played either by people who were short, or children !
I still can't take to Donna though.

I am beginning to quite like Donna....makes a change from the assistant falling in love with the Doc al la Rose and Martha

It was okay I guess. Glad the geek sacrificed himself, at least he can't come back then. I mean the actor (If you can call him that) was very annoying. I still don't reckon the lovely UNIT soldier Ross who was on the corner was killed, I reckon he just clonked himself out. Donna does keep getting better though, as does Tate, she genuinely looked scared when hunched up in the corner with her phone as the "Sultanas" ( ) walked passed. And i have to admit loving the bit where the Doctor told her (via phone) she was brilliant and she replied "Oh shut up!" It was okay though, not great. Get the feeling it's going to be a very mediocre/run-of-the-mill series this time. And i am not looking forward to next week. Daughter indeed..

For me, the two most enjoyable episodes of this series so far.

Hey you two... don't be pre-judge the episode. It might surprise... though it probably won't.
