Okay so not STRICTLY Corrie . . . but couldn't decide where to put it!! Out of all the soaps, who is your favourite soap b!tch?!
I would have to go for Kim Tate she was surely the original and the best! I love Claire King! I absolutely loved her when I was younger as well, all that plotting and conniving. I always thought she was sooooooooo glamorous and that she played a great character. very few have matched up since in my opinion - recent soap b!tches like Tracy Barlow etc just end up looking like cartoon characters. Kim did have some weakness like her little boy etc and could actually act!
Slightly off topic but have you seen Kim tate recently in those adverts for that fitness video?! I can't believe it, she's got a better body than some of my teenage friends!!

altho Alexis comes pretty close..but Abby was more realistic and less 'theatrical'

I didn't see Knots Landing so will take your word for that, Nick. Alexis became a caricature over time and Joan Collins' acting wasn't much help. LOL! Still she married the gorgeous Dex Dexter. ;D

Kim Tate, without question.
What made her so special and realistic (to me) was the fact that she did have a soft side to her - think of her close friendships with Joe and Seth, and her genuine love for Dave.
For out and out cattiness (sp?) I'd probably agree about Tanya Pooley in Corrie.
...and yes, Alexis Carrington too, tho' I didn't really consider her at first because shows like Dynasty/Dallas/Knott's Landing aren't true 'soaps' to me.
