From Corrieblog Maggie Jones is back at work after her fallCoronation Street actress Maggie Jones (aka Blanche Hunt) stepped back onto the cobbles yesterday for the first time since she had an accident six weeks ago. Maggie, who is 73, travelled by taxi to the set, which is 100 yards from the hotel where she lives during filming - and where she suffered the fall which put her in hospital. Apparently she looked quite frail, but it's great news that she's made a good recovery. This is great news, glad she is ok.

Mind you..she was in briefly tonight,early in the episode..then she was mentioned but not seen later on...I reckon she episodes shown now would have been around the time she had her fall

I didn't know this had happened - its weird coz I said to my cousin when we watched that episode that it was as if she was meant to have been in it but couldn't be?! I hope she's okay, Blanche is absolute brilliant with great comedy acting, definitely one of the best characters in the show.
Slightly off topic but I LOVED it when they paired her and Becky up in the cafe, they were great together!!

I noticed Blanche was mentioned a lot but not seen when Ken and Deirdre had that flood at Number 1. Clearly those scenes must have been filmed after the ones where we saw Blanche this week as they film a lot of stuff out of sequence.
