From Digital SpyCoronation Street's Kelly 'Legs' Crabtree has been lined up as one of the soap's big characters of 2008. The knicker stitcher – played by 24-year-old Tupele Dorgu – launches her own range of underwear in the New Year and soon forges a relationship with new bookie on the Street, Dan Mason (Matthew Crompton). Kelly is enraged, however, when she finds herself at the centre of a wager between father and son. Dan bets his father Harry (Jack Ellis) that he could sleep with one of the factory girls without any problems. Kelly discovers his wager at the last minute and is quick to cancel their date but Dan soon realises that he has feelings for the leggy machinist. A Weatherfield source told the Daily Star: "It's a glowing tribute to the popularity of Tupele's character that bosses have got some top storylines in store for her. "They will deservedly push her into the limelight next year and make her one of the show's leading figures." Oh goody bloody goody.........not.

Didn't like her from Day One, but sort of got used to her being around...in small doses. I honestly think in this day and age that soaps have moved on, and her type of acting is all very Crossroads MK I (with apologies to Crossroads MK I).
I don't find her amusing, just mildly irritating, but the promise of BIG STORYLINES is not good news.

Kelly has improved a lot since she started - and her first shot at a major storyline (Becky's obsession with her) was ruined by Craig Charles being written out, the fool, for taking drugs.
Hopefully she'll fare better next time if they give her more to do. I didn't like her much at first, but she's grown on me now - and I'd rather see more of her and less of the Platts/Grimshaws.

I disliked her immensley when she offered herself to Danny on a plate. I`ll admit I was jealous, but that`s not the reason why I disliked her. I think it was because she put the womans movement back 40 years with her tarty ways.

I think it was because she put the womans movement back 40 years with her tarty ways. Fair comment. But was Danny likely to be aware of any womens' movements other than a wiggle? He wasn't exactly a monk - and tarts were his only interest: his son's girlfriend, Leanne. In fact he's probably related to Max Branning in EE ;D

I think the reason I don't like her is that she's totally unrealistic as a person. Have you really seen people tottering around like some sort of drunken marionette, in ridiculous shoes (on cobbles FFS), and little tight skirts, on their way to work in a factory?
Sorry, but to me, she's a cartoon character, and as I've already said, I don't think that type of character belongs in modern soaps any more (see also Viv Hope in Emm). I'm sure the actress herself is perfectly capable - I just wish she was able to show it in a more believable manner!

Where does she get the start up capital? What about the intellectual property clause in her Underworld employment contract? Guess what - they haven't thought this through - again.

I think this is very bad news! I personally find her character extremely annoying and don't think she's a very good actress at al. And I think she's supposed to be hilairous and REALLY isn't!Just comes aross as irritating. A bit like that Wiki - she just annoys me a LOT!! They should spend some time giving talented and underused actors like Audrey and Eileen a bit more screen time and a proper story in my opinion! Urgh rant over!!
Love Maddie xxxxxxxx

Masses more potential. Wiki is a wonderful character and a much better character than gobby Janice and tarty Kelly and stupid Sean. Wiki reminds me a bit of Maggie from Casualty. Although now Maggie has had her cut short, the likeness isn`t as noticeable now.

I agree Madison, I dont rate her either. The only time she did half decent acting was during that storyline with Becky. I think its down to the "storylines" she is give so hopefully if she gets something else decent she will improve.

Wasn't she meant to be a 'big thing' a couple of years ago and having an affair with Danny?
