From Digital Spy Tina O'Brien has revealed that she wants to be offered a role in a "meaty drama" following her departure from Coronation Street. The actress's final scenes on the soap will be aired in tonight's episode, which will see her character Sarah Platt leaving Weatherfield for a new life in Italy. O'Brien landed the lead role in a production of Cinderella shortly after quitting the Street, but she has received no offers of definite work since then. "There are no definite projects confirmed yet, but there are jobs I'm up for - which I can't talk about at the moment - that are very exciting," Tina told the Sunday Mirror. "I'd love to do a real meaty drama or anything that's different to what I've been doing for the past eight years. Maybe I can do some more theatre after panto. Who knows?" "The door has been left open for me to return to Coronation Street in the future and I certainly wouldn't want to burn my bridges and say I'll never go back. But I've only just left and it'd be a bit crazy if I was already begging to get my old job back." I should think after everything that has happened to her character of Sarah......a more peaceful role would be welcome. !

In other words.....no one wants her as she isn`t capable of 'meaty role' unless they are bacon baps. (expects to see Sarah 'meaty role' hawking some double glazing or asking people in the street what their favourite brand of detergent is) ;D
