Chris Moyles may make a cameo appearance in Coronation Street as a Liverpudlian "scally", say reports.

Moyles is currently touring Northern England with his Radio 1 breakfast show and is reportedly a huge fan of the soap.

According to the The Sun, Moyles may be cast as Lloyd Mullaney's (Craig Charles) "scally" cousin.

An ITV source commented: "Coronation Street is Chris’s favourite soap and he’d welcome the chance to film some scenes.

"He loves Craig Charles’ character, so to come in as one of his relatives would be perfect."

Teletext yesterday reported Derek Jacobi wants to appear too. I'd rather him than Chris Moyles.

Me neither SC - can't stand the bloke, and have trouble understanding how he's got away with conning the Beeb and the public as long as he has - he's a rubbish DJ, who seems to think that being rude, suggestive, loud, and coarse makes him entertaining. Unfortunately he's only succeeded in influencing the style of others as well.
