Like all the best soap feuds, nobody quite remembers why Coronation Street fishwives Gail Platt and Eileen Grimshaw can’t stand the sight of each other. However, it’s probably something to do with the fact that when Gail’s daughter Sarah-Louise caught Eileen’s son Todd in her sticky web, he gave up a place at university so he could stock custard creams at Dev’s corner shop instead.
Now, Gail and Eileen are set for yet another confrontation when they turn up for their children’s weddings in identical outfits. The catfight to end all catfights takes place next month as Sarah-Louise and Jason prepare to tie the knot.
“Every woman knows one of the worst things that can happen is to turn up at a function and find someone else wearing the same clobber,” a Corrie source said. “And it’s even more embarrassing when it’s a wedding and those involved are the mums of the bride and groom.”
I love it when Gail and Eileen get physical......bring it on. ;D
