From Mirror ShowbizCorrie star's ring saleCorrie star Alison King's engagement ring has been put up for sale on eBay by her ex-fiance. Ex-London's Burning hunk Jim Alexander even displays a photo of himself with Alison on the site. A source close to the actress, who plays Carla Connor in the ITV soap, said: "It's upsetting, but Jim's a bit of a lad and won't think he's done anything wrong." Jim, 31, romanced a new girl days after splitting from Alison, 34, in April. The diamond ring has a starting bid of £800. I didn't think ex's gave the ring back anymore.

Me neither. Maybe she threw it back in a fit of pique. But wouldn't it be easier to go to Cash Converters or something? Unless it's cheap and he wanted more money.

That is sick! Honestly, seriously sad. If he wanted the money he could have just put it up for sale on Ebay without making a big deal of it being hers. What an idiot! Serve him right if noone bought it

Being a seasoned eBayer I wouldn't touch this with 2 barge poles. I think it may be a scam. What kind of scam? Well it might not be her ring at all - there's no photo of her actually wearing it. The seller's feedback is - to say the least - iffy, when considering the starting price of this item. There is at the moment one and only bidder - due to new eBay rules there's no way to tell if the seller is shillin - which I think he is. And of course there might not be any ring. But let's not forget I could be wrong on all counts - life's an auction.....

I gave up on eBay a couple of years ago. Not because of being conned but because it was just too addictive. However when it comes to things like this or anything electrical, mobiles, camera etc I certainly wouldn't bid for anything. There's too many fakes around and eBay is the first place they go to.
Not a very good pic of the ring either.
Oh and if anyone's ever come across a 'fairbay trader' avoid! I know him personally and he does tend to charge more for things than the blurb claims they're worth. He disgusts me and since Pam found out he's put freebies up there to make cash with more lies, disgusts her too.

Quote from Cheetah - "due to new eBay rules there's no way to tell if the seller is shillin"
What does this mean?
In my opinion, whether it is the real creature she was engaged to selling off this ring, or a pretender - he's still a cretin! Talk about feeding off other people to get some dough! Seriously sad. His mother must be so proud. And if she's not proud, she'd better watch herself - if she puts a foot wrong he might whip her onto Ebay for a couple of quid

Quote from Cheetah - "due to new eBay rules there's no way to tell if the seller is shillin" Shillin means bidding on your own item which is illegal - not just on eBay but auctions in general. eBay's new rule is that higher-priced items will not show bidders IDs - so you can't tell who's bidding. And for those who may be interested - the item in question, number 130156597020 had 2 bidders and has just sold for £820 - didn't do that well did it? Maybe Alison King's not such a good selling point after all - but we knew that didn't we?
