Oh I doubt that. There's more than one Antony Cotton show these days and you're watching it every week. Patsy

Oh good grief! Pearly was talking about pollution of our waterways in another thread - shouldn't this be considered pollution of our airwaves?

I can't wait for the ratings. Will they be cowards again and not put him up against Paul O'Grady?

Well it cant have been that bad in the ratings if they have given him a 2nd series. If this means he is on Corrie less im happy. I much prefer Antony to Sean if you see what I mean.

Is Derek Batey still alive? If he isn`t, I bet he`s being used as a ceiling fan up in heaven he`s spinning in his grave so much at the thought of AC spoiling his Mr & Mrs show

Ah Derek Batey. Now I feel ancient! LOL! My mum used to watch that all the time. I think he is and even approved the Julian Clarey version. Is he that desperate for money? Patsy

I couldn't believe that show had been re-commisioned.
I somehow get the impression that ITV are trying to turn him into their version of Graham Norton.

Hi Corrie Girl yes Derek Batey is alive very much so too. he still owns Mr and Mrs so he must think its ok for Anthony Cotten to do it . the only thing Derek Batey is desperate about is saveing Border tv station from being closed down (he started out presenting border news and lookaround and has a soft spot for the place) he is what you call carefull with money so still has plenty .

Graham Norton,Julian Clary and Paul O'Grady have a natural wit and can leave the script and be funny on their own because of cutting their teeth on the stand up comedy circuit...Anthony Cotton hasn't got a natural witty bone in his body..if its not on the auto cue ..he can't do it..and even then he sounds bossy

I agree about Graham and Paul, but GGA have you seen Julian Clarey in Carry On Columbus? He was absolutely appalling. It sounded like he was reading from an autocue....the 10 minutes I saw anyway. It was painful to watch.

Thanks for that Val. No doubt the viewing figures for Mr and Mrs with AC in it will go down faster than the tequila shots at a Britteny Spears party.

It was painful to watch. yes i admit he was like a fish out of water there..but when he is hosting he is naturally funny...with a more dry sense of humour than the other two

Carry On what? That's the one that doesn't count so I haven't had the misfortune to see it. Patsy
