Jennie McAlpine, who plays Corrie’s Fizz Brown, last night blasted Bafta chiefs for picking Casualty over Coronation Street for this year’s best soap award.

She fumed: “That was ridiculous. I can’t be doing with hospital dramas. They make me sick.”

Is she turning into Anthony Cotton? I know she`s mates with Anthiny Cotton, but jeez - what a miserable cow. I think its about time Casualty got recognised for its hard work over the years. I happen to enjoy it.

She always did have an arrogant streak. Remember that time when Pizza Hut in Manchester's Oxford Road (up the road from the studios) was closed and she demanded it open and said "Do you know who I am?".

Oh for heavens sake. I prefer Corrie to Casualty but I dont mind Casualty winning that. Corrie won Best Soap plus 6 other awards at the soapies so why is she still going on about the Bafta's? Get over it!

when I read that I think she might have wanted Corrie to get another award 7 awards wasn,t enough for her the greedy so and so . Corriegirl and Jez LOL if she,d said that to me I,d have said "not sure did you work in the local chippie or Mcdonalds once "? that would annoy her lol

Her job in Corrie isn`t guaranteed for ever, she could be joining Bruce Jones (and possibly Tina O` Brien too) down the dole queue this time next year. She`d be glad of the extra money she`d get from Casualty/Holby City/Doctors etc then to pay her mortgage. The new people just starting out would give up a body part to appear in those shows, so she should keep her gob shut.
But now that she slagged them off, I doubt if they`d want her now anyway.
I`ve got right off JM now, and I`ll never watch her on Corrie again without thinking what a nasty b*tch she is in real life. Maybe that`s why I dislike Sean Tully now...because of his off screen arrogance. Ditto Vicky Enthwhistle.

JM could easy join Bruce Jones down the dole queue will they be missed from corrie ? no not a chance lol. , I,m not sure if Tina O brien will join them as she is pretty so could do commercials , I,ve never liked Vicki Entwhistle and I don,t know why (ok don,t faint but I,m starting to go off Sean Tully for that reason Corriegirl).

jeez, they should be made to buy their own booze...or have it taken out of their wages. If that`s the case, Vicky Entwhistles wages would be in the minuses
