She can certainly act which is a refreshing change!! i don't think she's as attractive as everyone is making out, but I suppose that's by the by! I suppose they'll have Carl fall for her but she looks too old for him in my opinion!

I thought the same when Michael Jayston joined - his acting knocked spots off everyone else, even when he was lying comatose in his hospital bed! ;D


Unfortunately the general standard of acting is so dire and panto-like in Emm that anyone who can act just shows the rest of 'em up!

Prime example the bit where Rodney smarmed up to her at the party - Patrick Mower doesn't get any better, does he? In fact I found his recent attempts at child-minding Gabby embarrassingly bad, and even a bit disturbing.

Glad someone agrees with me!! Donald and Carl aren't bad but yeah everyone else either can't act (Gennie, Lexi) or overacts completely (Rodders, Eli). There are a handful who can but seriously, even ones who've been there for years like Viv, Donna, Marlon, Paddy, Chas etc aren't the best. they usually rely on their "hilarious comedy timing" rather than actual acting! Its a good thing I fancy Carl and Matthew King or else I wouldn't bother watching.

Totally agree about Rodders btw. I mean this man is supposedly an esteemed actor but just completely overdoes EVERYTHING!! He is a bit creepy with the child. Also what is that drawstring around his neck? Do you think the tighter the floor manager pulls it, the more overexcited he becomes? Good lord xxxxxxxx

I think there is certainly going to be a war between her and Carl.

At least he has got rid of the dreadful Lexi, who I hope we see a lot less of in the future.

Someone on teletext said she has two expressions, a face like a frog, and looking like she has a bad smell under her nose....I had to agree.

I really like Anna. I hope she stays around for a long time.
I also hope that she proves her worth to her Dad and that she takes over as MD. I agree with Anna that Carl isn`t to be trusted.
What`s the betting Matthew will be sniffing around Anna as soon as he comes back from holiday.

Is THAT where Matthew is?!?! I am totally missing him and keep scouring the spoilers for news of his return!! God I am so SAD! But at least in his absence I have realised my attraction to his littlebrother, carl is also quite nice. However I am missing old Matthew, bring him back!! xxxxxxxx

In the hour long show Tuesday at Donalds party, I can remember Carl mentioning his brothers were on holiday Maddy, but I don`t think Carl mentioned where they were.
I haven`t seen in the spoilers either when they`re coming back.
