Oakley to appear as Neighbours dad

There is a very familiar face joining the Neighbours cast for a brief stint on Tuesday.
Roger Oakley is best remembered by Home and Away fans for playing patriarch Tom Fletcher in the soap between 1988 and 1990. He also made a brief reappearance earlier this year during his foster daughter Sally's near-death experience.
But now Roger is about to make his debut as another dad - Jim Parker, father of Steve, Ned and Stuart.
We have heard recently about Steve's poor relationship with his old man, caused by a run-in they had years ago which resulted in the lad being locked in a shed.
Steve's always believed Jim shut him in on purpose, but his dad has another side of the story to tell.
However, during a fishing trip designed to help the pair bond, Jim also lets something slip which has a devastating affect on the entire family, and also helps explain why Steve is short, bald and swarthy, while his brothers are tall, blond Greek god look-alikes.
