From DS Coronation Street star Alison King and her boyfriend Adam Huckett have announced that they are expecting their first child. King, who plays superbitch Carla Connor on the ITV1 soap, confirmed that she is "over the moon" and eagerly anticipating the arrival of the baby in February. "Both Alison and Adam are so excited, they can't believe their luck. It's all they are talking about," a source close to the couple told The People. "Alison is just over the three month mark and is relieved that everything is fine." A Coronation Street spokesperson said: "Alison and Adam are over the moon - they're thrilled and delighted." The actress started dating sound technician Huckett in early 2007, shortly after ending her engagement to London's Burning star Jim Alexander. I wonder if this will mean another exit. ??

With Carla's eye for fashion she would wear some fabulous preggy clothes.

I don't know why they never do anyway. Hayley you could understand but to try and hide bumps badly is worse.

Jane Danson's pregnancy was quite badly hidden - standing behind huge vases, or wearing Danny's dressing gown, it was so obvious. Julia Haworth fared better, and she left before she got really big.
How long since Carla shagged Liam? Is there a possibility that she could be pregnant with his baby, but refused to acknowledge it until quite late?
Imagine how that would destroy poor Maria?

Deinitely something in the water at Granada. Congratulations to Alison and Adam. I also hope they write the pregnancy into the show.
Corrie has to be the worst at not hiding the pregnancies. Holding a cup of tea in front of a big belly doesn't do anything. Remember when Debra Stephenson was pregnant, Jamie was with her and she was 8 months pregnant and they didn't do anything to hide her belly. I kept thinking why would Jamie want to be with his step mother who looks like she is going to go into labor anytime. LOL
Who was the last person to be pregnant and have it written into the show??

I wish I could find the article, I`m sure I didn`t dream it. But I read somewhere that Jane Dansen is pregnant again with her second child. Also expecting is the girl that plays Wicki in Underworld.

I am convinced that it is going be Liam's baby either from their last dalliance or from an upcoming one, Maria will chuck him just before he pegs it and then all hell will break loose . . . am sure Tony wouldn't be too pleased to find out either!! xxxxxxxx
