I have read on another board, an interview with Michael Starke who said that Darryl – actor Jonathan Dixon is staying.
Anyone else heard anything. ?

Nope. I thought they were all buggering off to Espana. Unless someone's thinking it's like Craig Harris where initially they were all axed yet for some unknown reason they changed their mind about him.

I quite like them all now that they have been given something to do...and Theresa is a more realistic bad mother than Cilla who turned into a caracature

Exactly, just as they get a decent storyline off they go.
It's a pity there were so many to start with, if there had been no grandfather, or youngest son ( who wasn't Jerry's ) and given a decent storyline or two they would have slotted in better.

They never seem to know what to do with new families. I think it's another hindrance of too many episodes so they get underused.

Thinking back to people who have lived in that house.....they don't have a lot of luck do they......Des Barnes, Tony Horrocks, Charlie Stubbs, Tommy Harris, to name but a few.

Emma Edmondson (Mel) finished filming last week at the studios and Jonathon Dixon said he would be staying on the street for a while longer. I'm so pleased for him, he's such a nice guy. I think I heard Theresa will be there till Oct.
It's too bad this family was never given a chance until it was too late.
