From DSNeighbours star Carla Bonner was banned from a flight at the weekend after clashing with an airline attendant over her luggage. The actress, who plays Steph Scully on the Aussie soap, was checking in at Melbourne Airport for a flight to Newcastle, New South Wales, when she was warned that her hand luggage could be too large. Bonner was told by the staff member that her bag would need to be measured and a heated exchange followed. She was in possession of a Light Fare ticket for a Jetstar Airways flight, restricting her to one piece of small hand luggage only. The soap star eventually ended up staying in Melbourne. Despite claims from onlookers that she used foul language in her discussion with the airport worker, Bonner has insisted that she was not at fault. "I am in the process of lodging a formal complaint about an incredibly rude staff member who I am sure regrets his behaviour,'' Bonner told the Daily Telegraph. "It's a shame because the other Jetstar staff I dealt with were terrific and very supportive.'' In August last year, Bonner was fined for driving offences. As well as using a licence that had not been renewed, she had caused a crash at a shopping centre by reversing when it was unsafe to do so.
