Honor heads to Weatherfield

FORMER Bond girl Honor Blackman is joining Coronation Street, it emerged last night.
The actress, who played Pussy Galore alongside Sean Connery in 1964's 007 classic Goldfinger, arrives in Weatherfield in September.
GLAMOUR: Honor
She will play flirty pensioner Rula Romanoff who gets her claws into Street drip Norris Cole (Malcolm Hebden). Her arrival comes as a shock to Norris's boss at the Kabin newsagents, Rita Sullivan (Barbara Knox) - as she is an old rival from her days as a cabaret singer.
ITV said: "I can confirm Honor will be playing the character Rula Romanoff."
Honor made her name as the high-kicking, leather-clad Cathy Gale in 60s TV series The Avengers.
The karate-chopping actress even made a record - Kinky Boots - with co-star Patrick McNee, who played smoothie Steed.
It bombed, but incredibly made the pop chart Top 10 25 years later. But athletic Honor outstripped even her Avengers fame as sexy pilot Pussy Galore. Unusually for a Bond girl, she got to bed 007 twice.
Since those heady days, 76-year-old Honor, now a gran, has continued to appear on the small and large screens - her latest film being Colour Me Kubrick with John Malkovich.
She has twice been the subject of This is Your Life.
And she performed a one-woman show called Dishonourable Ladies. Norris beware.
