Although I had read some online speculation I didn't believe it, so I was genuinely surprised when Danielle was revealed to be Ronnie's daughter in Friday nights episode. Well done EE for keeping it out of the press.
Anyone betting for a Christmas Day reveal?

I flipping hope not. I want it over now. I can't stand that little Mo startled bunny impression of Danielle's.
It was fairly obvious I have to admit. I think if they'd had a brunette or someone and hadn't revealed her age it may have been more of a surprise.

Well she's not your typical Mitchell is she so that's what surprised me.
Also I'd prefer it to come out far sooner than Christmas Day just to wipe that smug grin off Archvillian's face, but they usually do have big family drama's for that time of year - although we'll have Sean leaving at that point as well so maybe the reveal about Jack and Roxy will overshadow things. Another Branning caught with his pants down on Christmas Day!

No she's not. She's a wimp. I can't stand this obvious manipulation of Pygmy so another reason for it to come out. Unless it's next month. Isn't that when they're supposed to get married?
Definitely Jack being the daddy. How many ruined Christmasses can Tanya have???

EE wouldn't have bothered giving Gonnie an adopted daughter storyline if it wasn't going to lead somewhere. It was obvious that this kid was going to feature - despite Archvillain's nasty remark about her being dead, I never believed that anyway.
The whole thing might have been better handled if we were unaware of the pregnancy and adoption, and were just as surprised as anyone else when this kid turned up looking for Gonnie. It comes across as as clumsily constructed and a bit 'Talk of the Devil'...
I still say it's too similar a storyline to Kaffy Beale/Donna way back in the 80s.

I never saw that one but I agree about this being clumsy. They made it all too obvious and too fast. Maybe if there'd been a break between losing the picture down the toilet and Danielle turning up of about 6-12 months it may have helped. Gonnie didn't mention it during that time and perhaps the viewer MAY have forgotten.

Having witnessed the Mitchells up close you'd think that Bunny Girl would hoppit. Her adopted parents cannot surely be as bad as THAT lot, and if she had any sense she'd clear off back to Shropshire and forget all about her East End famerlee.

Oh I wish she would and take Gonnie with her! Gonnie and Poxy have only been in it 5 minutes and I for one still don't give a toss what Gonnie does. She's far too boring.
