According to tabloids Lindsey Coulson won't be renewing her contract (although I thought she was there until Feb 2012)
And Pam St. Clemment is leaving in the Autumn.
Jessie Wallace and Shane Ritchie have made formal statements saying that they will not be leaving EE because of the baby swap despite tabloid rumours.

I tend to agree with many comments. She KNEW this was going to happen yet took the cash and did it. Whether did was leaving in May or not at that time is irrelvant. She SHOULD have objected and refused to do it then or at the very least when she got the scripts. But no. It's when there's a few thousand complaints out of 8 million plus viewers she objects.
As for being abused, there's always been nuts who think they're real.

News of the World was listing lots of exits today and the Daily Star. Not sure which said which but the BBC Press Office have issued statements denying Shane and Jessie.
Pam was apparently on Radio One.
I think we are going to be getting lots of rumours in the next few days with Swapgate.

LOL at Swapgate!
Star (like Mirror) is often wrong. NOTW, like the Scum, is more often than not spot on.

The only Butcher I can really stand is lil Tiff. If Bianca and Carol are leaving I hope Thicky sticks around, but only because of Tiff. Liam and Whitney can disappear, for all I care, but I do hope they don't write Tiff out because of Bianca's departure.

I wonder though. One minute it's maternity leave, the next she's out of contract. How long was the maternity leave for? 6 months? Jo Joyner was off ages. We'll see when this crap storyline's wrapped up.

Hi and welcome Sam! I think it's great news. Takes me back to my childhood. LOL! It's a shame he had to pull out of being Honey's dad so it will give us a chance to see what he can do in Walford. Patsy

Sorry to be so cynical, but I wonder how long it will be before Alfie finds out Eddie is Alfies Dad and not his Uncle?

Scott Maslen says she needs a breather and may be back. Since they're bestest friends there could be some truth in it. Ronnie could be locked up in a psycho ward for a bit.

From the EE blog:
Janine's in for a shock... from Grandma
Post categories: Cast, News
Matt Humphreys | 00:00 UK time, Tuesday, 15 February 2011 Margaret Tyzack
Twisted, manipulative and damaged - all words you could use to describe Janine. Well, prepare to meet her maternal grandmother Lydia Simmonds, who will be played by famed theatre actor Margaret Tyzack.
A lady of class and dignity, Lydia loved her daughter June to death and couldn't stand the man she ran off with - common as muck Frank Butcher. Growing old alone, Lydia has a got a bit of a reputation with her neighbours and she's resigned herself to a life of solitude as her big house slowly crumbles around her.
Having been estranged for years, Janine is shocked to have Lydia back in her life but she's intrigued as to where it might lead. Does Janine want to look after her Grandmother during her ill health, or does she have more sinister motives? Sounds like a battle we can't wait to see on screen.
Margaret Tyzack has taken many prestigious stage roles and has received two Olivier awards, a Tony award and numerous other accolades for her theatre performances. She has appeared in two Stanley Kubrick films; 2001: A Space Odyssey and A Clockwork Orange and is also famed for her memorable roles in The Forsyte Saga, I, Claudius and The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles. Most recently she has appeared at Le Chatelet Opera in Paris and in My Fair Lady.
Margaret says; "I am delighted to be joining a great British tradition and a fine company of actors".
Bryan Kirkwood, EastEnders Executive Producer, added: "What a coup to have Margaret Tyzack starring in EastEnders. She is an actress of incredible class and talent. Lydia has endless possibilities as a character, and I can't wait to see Janine meet her match."

Oh bloody Nora. What lengths will they go to in order to justify Gangrene hanging around? Thicky & co have had enough of her, so they dredge up some nasty old grandmother for her. Not looking forward to it all. Maybe she'll cop off with David Essex

No mention whatsoever of her being Thicky's too. LOL! I thought she'd be more Murky's type. Fair haired after all. Patsy
