I saw late last night in the Sun that Cheryl Ferguson had been axed from EE. When I went to get the link to it to post here it`s disappeared.
Either they`re wrong, and pulled it. Or they pulled it to add to the 'sensationalism' in the Sunday papers tonight. I even went to the 'daily fail', and nothing there either.
Weird. I know I didn`t dream it coz I disturbed my kitties sleeping when I said "YES" out loud. And I still have the scratches to prove it.

They could have done more with the character of Heather, instead of making her just a useless fat failure.
And the reason for axing any character as being 'before the viewers get bored of her..' is just downright wrong. It's up to the programme makers to keep the viewers interested by making the characters interesting and believable; if we get bored with a character or a show it's the programme makers fault, and they shouldn't punish the actors for just doing their job and reading the script that was given to them.
Patrick has been boring for years, IMO, as has Mo Harris - I'd rather see them go before Heather.

We've been saying that for years. "Can't take the character further" is the usual line, meaning they can't be arsed having normal characters were nothing happens day to day or think of a storyline. Won't miss Hef but that Moroccan she married will!

I`m quite glad about it....especially if Sharon ends up with the Vic again. Kat and Alfie storylines never worked in the Vic...they always seemed out of place - unless it was as bar staff.
Hopefully Jessie Wallace`s 3 months 'rest' will be permanent.

I laughed how the Sun said it was because Jessie had time off when she's off NOW while Letita starts filming in May. LOL!
Firemen and nurses wouldn't say no to her salary either.

Pats....It really wouldn`t surprise me if the bosses asked Jessie to take some time off because she was being a b*tch on the set. It`s been quite a while since Jessie called off her wedding, so I can`t believe it`s only now that she`s 'exhausted'.
It`s no secret that Jessie has been impossible to work with in the past. I remember stories of her slapping Hannah Waterman. I really don`t think she`s popular among the cast.
So there could be a grain of truth that Letitia is 'replacing' Jessie. It wouldn`t surprise me if Jessie went into meltdown mode when she heard Letitia was coming back, and the bosses didn`t want a clash between the two on Letitias first day on the set.

Jessie would have been off since before Xmas though and will be back before Letitia begins filming. She went back to work straightaway so that's probably why she's off now.

Agreed Pats.
It`s highly hypocritical of TPTB that fired Mellisa for drinking when they have the new Lauren drinking constantly. Yet TMBK Joshua bullies kids at his school and he`s still in the show. It`s so unfair. Meliissa is twice the actor that Joshua is....and 4 times the actress the new Lucy is.
And they wonder why the fans are turning off in droves.

Melissa made Lucy Beale. This one's not spiteful or can even act. They ruined the characters. Then they have stupid storylines like killing Hev pointlessly.

Terrible character played by terrible actors. The writers were all over the place with this character, and it`s a huge shame as Ben at 16 could have been absolutely brilliant....especially if Ben was made to be more like a mini Grant or Phil. So what will be the outcome? Back of a police car or a hearse? I`m guessing a hearse. |
