CORRIE stars have been banned from stopping for autographs as they drive in and out of the studios.
Bosses at Granada TV’s Manchester set fear fans could be run over as they crowd around cars to meet favourites like Samia Smith (Maria), 26. But one fan said: “They’re killjoys.”

Seriously, I can't see why they can't sign the autographs THEN go to their cars and drive out.

In another article I read they said it is still okay for fans to stand there and get autographs from cast members walking out. If thats the case they need to talk to 'all' the actors and tell them to slow down when driving out. People like Barbara Knox, Tupele Dorgu, Alan Halsall and Jack P Shepherd drive out VERY fast at times. I'm surprised they haven't been involved in any accidents.

The only time I've seen actors swarmed was in June when Michelle Keegan and Helen Flanagan WALKED out. There were about 8 paparazzi guys around them. Thing was the girls seemed to be really enjoying it.

I remember reading an article similar to this last year and the cast still stopped and signed. When I first went 7 years ago, there were signs saying it wasn't safe for actors to stop, but they still did. I'm wondering if things really will change. I know next time I come over, I'll still go to the gates.

Like Patsy said, why can't the actors walk out for a few minutes- whether its during their lunch, before or after they start for 5 or 10 minutes.

Well a lot go in and out on foot anyway so we should still be able to get some autographs hopefully.

I remember that sign being up when I went in 2005 Deborah, but by 2006 is was gone.

Well the guard they had at the gates wasnt there last week when I went. However the sign is up saying due to Health and Safety the cast cannot stop for autographs.

Several drove in/out but didnt stop - only ones I got were on foot.
