From DSBosses at ITV have scrapped the traditional Christmas party for the Coronation Street cast. A James Bond-themed bash was scheduled to take place at Manchester's 235 Casino on December 12, but officials have decided to cancel it as a cost-cutting exercise. "Everyone was looking forward to getting dressed up in black tie and Bond-girl glamour," a show insider told The People. "It should all have been paid for by Granada - but they cancelled it rather than ask people to pay for themselves." The source added that the cast is "up in arms" about the cancellation, saying: "Some of them are even suggesting they start working to rule from January by refusing to do any more than ten hours a day filming - even if it means abandoning scenes halfway through."

This was cancelled for all ITV apart from Emmerdale who I think had theirs. It's not the first time. They did it last year too. They all get paid enough, especially when people are losing their jobs or struggling to make ends meet, so they should stop being so selfish and cough up themselves.

I was going to say im sure I heard a simular story last year about their Christmas party being "axed".
I agree, you would think they could club together to pay for their own Christmas party. Everyone else does!
