What's happened to these two series?

According to episode guides, we were only part way into the new seasons, and they both disappeared before Christmas.

I've just got new Radio Times which takes us up to Friday 16th January, and still no sign of their return, although in one article about American shows, it mentions that Heroes will be back 'later in the year'.

I'm confused - why stop both shows halfway through their seasons?

Is this just continuing backlash caused by aftermath of the American writers' strike?

I think I missed the last episode of Heroes.
I saw it was on at a late time, forgot to watch it, and it doesn't seem to have been repeated.
I wondered if I had missed the final episode.

I think its because they take breaks in the US - we have to as well. Thats why many shows dont start until January so we can have them without a break in the UK - if they start them a few weeks after the US in September we have to take breaks too.

I think thats why Prison Break is off as well. Mind you I have only just got Sky One back on Virgin Media so still havent seen Prison Break season 3 yet - I have it hear on DVD and need to find time to watch!

They haven't even started here. New season is usually Feb
