HOLLYWOOD star Amanda Donohoe is to quit because she cannot stand the cold Yorkshire Dales.

The LA Law actress, who swapped Tinsel Town for the country village, told her co-stars she has had enough.

Amanda, 46, who only joined the show at Christmas as jodhpur-wearing Natasha Wylde, has reportedly confessed that she will not renew her contract which runs out in six months’ time. She will fulfil her current obligations to the show and then move on.

Insiders say that despite a good start, the experience has not lived up to her expectations.

One said: “After so many years living the high life in Hollywood, having to graft in the freezing cold on the Yorkshire Dales is a bit of a shock.

“No-one is surprised that she’s been saying she won’t renew her contract.”

The news comes just as Emmerdale fans welcome the arrival of her on-screen kids, Nathan (Lyndon Ogbourne, 25) and Maisie (Alice Coulthard, 27) this week.

A show spokesman said: “Amanda is contracted to the end of the year.”

I don't know how much truth there is in this but it wouldn't surprise me.
Got herself noticed....maybe it's time to move on.
Why they have to employ these Hollywood types when this country is full of good actresses and actors is beyond me.
I wonder if Maxwell Caulfield will follow her out. ?

That has been commented on, why doesnt she wear thermals under her clothes, Hollywood has obviously spoilt her.

I cant believe she is quitting already - not keen on the family at all although Maxwell is easy on the eye, but they are very boring on screen. The Tate's andeven the Kings were better.

Don't like any of them - characters are under-written and oh-so-predictable, they've been stuffed in our faces from Day One, and their acting is all rubbish (yes, even including AD).

The whole lot of them are totally implausible as a 'class' act, and their 'posh do' the other night could just as easily have been set in the Dingles' farmhouse; it was that tacky. Even the bloody pink Caddy was the same one used by Charity and Chris!

A worse than average week of Emm - and that's saying something nowadays - I mean; just how bad can it get?

Emmerdale arent having much luck holding onto the new bitch type characters are they - first Anna quits now Natasha. Anna turned out to be not that bitchy in the end - the press as usual hyped her up to be the next big thing.

Maybe they should stop having them and revert to characters. They can still make bitchy comments but won't have a limited lifespan.

They are all quite poor as characters in my view. From what I heard before they arrived, they sounded a bit predictable even then. Though as far as Amanda Donahoe is concerned, if that is the case, just go and piss off then.

Well Anna and Natasha arent bitchy at all really - not what I call a bitch anyway. Now Sadie, Nicola and especially Kim Tate are proper bitches. Natasha is generally a nice person but wont take any crap from people.

Some of these 'stars' are just too precious for words. How did Amanda Donohoe make her name? In a crappy film with Oliver Reed where she took her clothes off. If she'd kept her kit on she'd have not even be remembered let alone be where she is today.
