I thought id put this in a new thread as I know a lot of people get annoyed by this.
Its been less than 2 months since ITV changed their schedules and already 2 weeks running the soaps are being messed about.
As if Corrie being moved for the football doesnt annoy fans enough, next week the only remaining soap on ITV1 on a Wednesday (Emmerdale) is being moved for Harry Potter!!! We get a double episode on Tuesday so viewers arent losing out but I fear that ITV moving these soaps around is going to cause damage - remember what happened with Brookside when it got moved all over the place almost on a weekly basis to accommodate other shows.
I can understand them having to move them for a live football game but why a movie which has been on before? And its a bit of a stange night to show it anyway, it more of a weekend thing.
Also it interesting that they dont appear to have the 2 episodes of Corrie last night anywhere else to make up for not showing it. Not that im complaining about that as ive long said they need to cut down on the episodes. But I am really surprised they havent slotted the episodes in on the next couple of Sunday's especially as this week is a Bank Holiday weekend and they have often had a Sunday episode in the past.
