LOL! There's too many 'facts' like that nowadays. Journalists are meant to know and as for the captioners, looking something up is obviously too much like hard work so yes - FIRE THEM!!!!

TOTP was always famous for it's bad miming, which is fair enough. Talented artists, singers, musicians etc don't go into showbiz in order to demonstrate their blinding miming skills!! Make them all sing live, that's what I say - give us a proper show.

Yeah but these days it would help with proper music.

I don't really follow the latest music anymore (Smash Hits in the 80s was my bible, lol!!). Do they still have the charts anymore? The best way to see what was number 1 was always TOTP when I was young, or the Tony Blackburn chart rundown on Radio 1 on Sunday nights. Christ, I feel old!

Mine too. There was another one in the 70s which also had lyrics in but I can't for the life of me remember the title. Yes they do have charts and include downloads. It's mostly racket these days. You, me, Nick. We'll go into the home together. Patsy

Mine too. You, me, Nick. We'll go into the home together. Patsy As long as it's a home with continuous piped 70s and 80s music, and none of this whippersnapper din.

Said in the Mirror mag Bill leaves too. I'm confused now. Mind you it also said they moved into the street in 1987 so perhaps aren't that knowlegable. Patsy

These journalists make it up as they go along
in the Mirror the other day Sue Carroll allegedly interviewed Barbara Windsor and quoted Barbara as saying 'Sid (James) and I only made 3 films together'
I am a bit of a carry on buff and know that out of the 9 Carry on films that Barbara made,8 of those were with Sid..the only one wityhout him was Carry on Spying
Now either Barbara has got amnesia (which i doubt) or Sue carroll never actually met her at all and just made it up...i wrote in and complained..it just annoys me ..shoddy research

LOL! Probably amnesia. She is 70 now you know. Seriously, I agree about shoddy journalism. There's just too much of it around these days when even the simplest things they can look up so they don't look totally pig ignorant. Hmm, sounds like Corrie writers. LOL! Patsy

Patsy In one of the mags it said they arrived in 1979. Now we know Jack made his first appearance in 1979 but it was only 2 episodes and he wasnt seen again until 1981, and they didnt actually move into the Street until 1983! We should all be the researchers!
