Anyone know anything about this new series, which starts Monday 28th Sept at 2100 on Five? Apparently has gone down a storm in the States, and has been likened to Lost. Has a fair few Brits in the cast-list - Joseph Fiennes, Jack Davenport, Alex Kingston, and Dominic Monaghan. Premise of the series is that everyone simultaneously loses consciousness for two minutes, and in that two minutes, they see a glimpse of their future. Well if it's half as intriguing as Lost or Heroes, I'll be hooked in no time! More detailed plot synopsis (from Wiki):- 'A mysterious global event causes everyone on the planet to simultaneously experience, for two minutes and seventeen seconds, his or her life six months in the future. When it is over, many are dead in accidents involving vehicles, aircraft, and any other device needing human control. Everyone who survived is left wondering if what they saw will actually happen. A Los Angeles FBI agent named Mark Benford (Joseph Fiennes) tries to figure out what exactly happened and why it happened. Along with his team, he creates a database of people's flash forwards from around the world called the Mosaic Collective (for which a website has been launched). Apart from the various catastrophic visions, people also see themselves relapsing into various former vices; Benford seeing himself drinking again, and his wife Olivia has a vision of herself with another man.'

From the clips of this I have seen, ( and there have been many! ) it looks like my kind of thing.

LOL! I haven't seen one, but then I rarely watch Five, and am watching far less TV of any sort since I changed shifts. Well I know our tastes are similar in this type of show, so you've helped to convince me.

Well, I watched this and really enjoyed it. It is high quality, and it is obvious no expense has been spared making it. I have a feeing we are going to be as confused over things in it as in 'Lost' It makes me wonder...Do we really want to know what happens in the future ( even though it is only six months ) I am not sure I do.

We watched it and it had a good start...my only worry with US shows is that as long as the sponsors will sponsor it it will never come to a conclusion..then either get snapped up by Sky where us freeviewers can't watch it or the sposors will lose interest and the US network will drop it.

I know what you mean Nick, those are the reasons I am unable to watch Lost, Prison Break and House.

I can't really get back into this after their mid-season break. Why have the break? It's spoilt the whole thing for me. The whole thing is based on suspense - they can't just stop for several weeks and expect everyone to still be interested.

Must admit it took us a while to 'catch up' too, but still enjoyed it.
Liked the more detailed scenes of the day it happened.
Like the Dominic Monaghan character - nasty but very charismatic (good actor - liked him in Lost too)
Not sure why the break happened - there was some talk of it being because the viewing figures (in the USA) were going down, and they called it a 'Get Well' break (also happened with 'V'). Funnily enough the viewing figures here in the UK were good (for a 5 series), and had remained constant.

Also, since they put Heroes on at a ridulous time, I've stopped watching that as well.

What a dissapointing end to the series..one or 2 loose ends were tied up,but it's obvious the ABC network are going to spin this out like 'Lost'
We shan't bother if it comes back for a 2nd series
When Dominic Monaghan tried to act all tough we just couldn't take him seriously lol

There seem to be quite a lot of series been cancelled.
Heroes, Flashforward and Law And Order to name but three.

I do hate it when they axe stuff like this, leaving loads of loose ends. It makes you wish you hadn't bothered watching in the first place.

Well, despite all the rumours/stories about the show being cancelled, we both enjoyed the last episode - it answered lots of questions, and plenty of potential for a return if/when.
I thought they resolved many of the character's flashforwards in an interesting way, as with Nicole who thought she was being drowned but was in fact being saved from drowning.
...and big 'Aaaaahhh' moment when Keiko and Bryce finally got together.
Will be disappointed if there's no sequel, and certainly don't feel we've wasted time watching it. Will have to try and get hold of the novel by Robert J.Sawyer that it was based on.
