I was a fan of both Dallas and Dynasty.
I don't think I would bother with a re-make though. How can you better the original.

I was Dynasty but watching both on UK Gold years ago, I went over to the dark side and preferred Dallas. Dynasty just doesn't hold up. Even the post-Bobby shower eps are better than Dynasty.
I don't think this will work. People want JR not John Ross.

I enjoyed the first new series,but I don't think the next series will be quite as good without JR.now that Larry Hagman has passed on.

I don't really think it will end without JR is just won't be quite the same,but there is still some good old and new characters on the show.

Dallas returns tonight 29th Jan CH5 9:00pm for a new 15 episodes showing Larry Hagmans last performance before he died last Nov

I shall tune in and have a butchers...what dissapointed me with the last series was that they didn't have the old style opening credits showing pictures of the stars (In alphabetical order)

JR IS Dallas and although they'll try with the other old faces, it's not going to do well without him. How many would have stuck with the last series without him, Linda and Patrick? There was always talk of a next generation Dallas but no mention of the past characters. Linda and Patrick are great but without JR to spar with their characters will be dull.

It seems the second series has been losing viewers (since the death of Larry hagman) and has now been moved to the 11pm slot.!

I see Channel 5 are going to axe Dallas as the viewing figures aren't up to much !!,,..I suppose it will save them a bit of cash not having to buy it
