it sounds rubbish...can you really imagine anyone but Violet Carson playing Ena or Jean Alexander playing Hilda etc...
Why doesn't Jonathon actually write something revolutionary such as an original play with characters,plots and a storyline he has invented out of his own mind instead of using already popular and established characters and scripts that have already been written
This puts me in mind of all these musicals like Mamma Mia & We Will Rock yYu...where they take already established and hugely popular songs and string them together with a flimsy plot

It sounds a bit like the Reduced Shakespeare Company's 'The Complete Works Of William Shakespeare (Abridged)' which was on at the Criterion Theatre at Piccadilly Circus for yonks. I used to walk past it every day, and always fancied going to see it, but never got round to it in the end.
This Corrie effort, however, just smacks of self-indulgent fan fiction getting above its station.
