Its no big surprise..although he will be misssed..the old guard at Corrie are dissapearing fast.......I'll re-iterrate what I said a couple of years ago...why they had to kill vera off I'll never know..why not just have her and Jack retire into the suburbs and have Jack pop back now and again for a pint in the Rovers
I can't imagine what his big exit will be as he has already left the street..maybe him and Connie will retire to Spain or something..?

I`m glad he`s staying fot the 50th.
Jack will be missed, but Bills health comes first.

Like Nicksaid, it would have been better for he and Liz leave together.
I don't think this news has come of much of a surprise.
He is rarely on the screen.
He hasn't been a well man for years.
