I think that Matt Smith is a great Doctor...but the story was a bit cliched for Christmas

It was but it was quite good. I didn't enjoy the RTD ones apart from the first. It was probably because of all the lurve bollocks, plus the fact nothing ever made sense. I loved this, right down to the Doctor not understanding about love, snogging etc so kudos to Steven Moffat for ditching all that. The card trick was funny I thought. CGI of them flying through the air in a whale-drawn carriage was decidedly dodgy.

Left us both rather disappointed I'm afraid.
Only really good thing about it was Michael Gambon.

I wasn't overly impressed with it, didn't feel like it was going anywhere good. It lacked the tension that's usually in the series.

It was quite lightweight compared to what we're used to.

It was 'OK' - nothing more, nothing less....at least it was a self-contained 'one-off', without dubious hints/references to other things going on in the past/present/whatever!

Did Amy and Rory turn up?..and if they didn't did they give an explanation as to where they were?

It was quite lightweight compared to what we're used to. Patsy May as well repeat myself. LOL! Yeah and those tears at the end were from the water pistol, not crying. You knew it would have a happy ending but wood to battle against was novel. Patsy

Anyone watch? Oh wow! I loved it. As soon as I saw heard the booming voice from the snow globe, I was immediately reminded of the Great Intelligence. Then lo and behold, who was it? Maybe the Yeti will be back - or Clara's really one but she's waxing. Lots of funny lines and an enjoyable romp. Great start to next year's 50th anniversary! Nick you MUST come to a convention! This one over the anniversary weekend. Come, come! www.tenthplanetevents.co.uk/conventions---dimensions-2013-632-c.aspPatsy

We actually watched this one all the way through, and ENJOYED it!
Thought Jenna Louise Coleman was delightful in it, and will make a brilliant 'assistant', assuming that's the intention.

yes, I quite enjoyed it..and I like JLC much more than Karen Gillan (who was far too mouthy and sulky)
I'm tempted with the convention Pats...when would it need to be booked by?

Best as soon as, Nick, so you can get into the main hotel. You don't want to be in an overflow. I've done that twice. Me and Paul are doing the Celebrity Dinner next year. We don't usually bother but our friend Martin (who I met at a con in 1999 and Paul met in 2004) nagged me into it so I mentioned it to Paul. Do come. Even if you only ever go once you can't miss the 50th anniversary!
