Confirmed on This Morning. They asked her about it and she said it was disappointing as she'd been there 18 years and she thought the audience deserved a better exit for the character.

I wish Brenda would`ve been axed instead of Terry.
Looks like Bob will be caregiver of his grandson TJ as well as the twins. I can`t see Brenda being allowed to look after him.
I hope Bob and Brenda won`t be an item in the future.

I don't know what all the fuss is about.
Would be pretty unrealistic if every soap departure was tied in to some huge disaster or otherwise sensational storyline.
See she's now saying she's not furious, just sad - where's your dignity, woman?
Haven't seen any reports of Billy Hartman complaining, just this gracious statement (from STV):-
'Billy Hartman has said that he had a "wonderful" time playing Terry Woods in Emmerdale.
The actor left the Yorkshire soap on Thursday night after his character was killed off in the blaze plotline.
Millions of viewers saw Terry perish during a heroic attempt to rescue Viv Hope.
Hartman told the soap's official website that he "wouldn't know where to start" if he had to choose the highlights of his career in Emmerdale.
He said: "Emmerdale has been such a big part of my life over the years, that I can't sum it up in a few words.
"It's been wonderful and I will miss the show but I'm really looking forward to the future."'

Now that`s class. I hope to see Billy in other things. Deena - not so much.
I do feel sorry for Deena, but there are only a lucky few actors in Soapland who can make a long career from acting.
It`s not the writers, it`s not the actress - it`s just one of those things.

It went pear shaped for Deena when she decided to take a year off and they came up with the jail storyline.
She was never going to be the same when she returned, and when they split her and Bob up, the writing was on the wall for her character.
I wonder in hindsight if she regrets having that years holiday !

I can`t help but wonder if it was the decision of Gavin Blyth who decided to axe Viv and Terry? Since his recent death, the new exec producer couldn`t reverse his decision.
So that means Deena and Billy must`ve known for months about their axings.
