Yes Liz Dawn appears in the background of a 1972 or 1974 episode as well I think. She then did 2 episodes as Vera Duckworth in Aug 1974 before returning more regularly in 1976.
I never noticed that Elsie was still credited as Tanner on the credits into 1972! When she returned in 1976 im surprised she didnt change her name to Tanner and get credited as Tanner straight away.
Have you heard there is going to be a 1990s box set too?

I don't think I shall bother with the 90's box....I shall get the 80's one when I have worked my way through this 70's one.

They are releasing the 60s, 70s and 80s again with different artwork on the covers but i assume they will be the same episodes, therefore I wont get them again! I will prob get the 1990s set mainly cos ive not got hardly any 90s stuff compaired to pre and post 1990s.

Since it was only a few months, I can imagine it being VERY brief in the box set.

If Graham hadn`t died so suddenly, I bet there would`ve been a wedding between Mavis and Jerry. Mavis Booth...yeah it could`ve worked.

LOL yeah Pats. I was never really a fan of Derek - although the way he was treated in his final storyline was appalling.

He was in it before Renee..he worked at the Rovers as part time cellarman but he was always looking for work as a carpenter...he was a former soldier and I think he went back in the army late in 1976.
He was played by Bob Mason who died in 2004..i have tried to look for a picture of him but can't find any

1976 was one of my fave years during the 1970s. Well from 76-79 was all really good.
I am friends with someone on twitter who is a massive 1970s fan and he said Vera appeared in just 2 eps in Aug 1974 then wasnt seen again until Mid 76 when she did another 2 eps as Fred Gee's girlfriend then became more regular when Baldwins opened later that year.
