After seeing Tony Pitts (Archie from Emmerdale) in last week's episode of 'Scott & Bailey', this week it was the turn of Sally Lindsay (Corrie's Shelley), playing Rachel Bailey's sister.
BTW - can really recommend 'Scott & Bailey' - great writing, and very 'real'.
Have always rated Lesley Sharp as an actress since I saw her in 'Clocking Off' years ago, but Suranne Jones is the real surprise. She just seems to get better and better.

From an article I read it seems that Suranne Jones and Sally Lindsay came up with the idea of Scott and Bailey.

I wonder where they got the idea...they couldn't possibly have seen Cagney & Lacey in the 80's could they..??

This is not a new series, but one from 1994. And not a refugee but a 'before they were famous' comment. I recently watched a rental DVD of Cardiac Arrest, the hospital black comedy starring Helen Baxendale as a very hard-faced doctor. In the first five minutes we saw a very young and fresh-faced Andrew Lancel (Frank Foster) as a newly qualified doctor. We also saw Caroline Paterson (D.C Weller in Corrie, and Ruth Fowler in EE) and another EE 'favourite' Ace Bhatti who plays loathsome doctor Yusuf. EE's Ellen Thomas, who plays Grace Olubunmi. Pooky Quesnel is a doctor, who also played poor Bradley Branning's mum in EE. Also on the cast list include Jaquetta May (Michelle Fowler's landlady in EE) and Terry Sue Pat - the legendary Benny Green from Grange Hill.
More EE actors than Corrie actors - but Andrew Lancel is currently in one of the big Corrie storylines, so I posted here, rather than the EE thread, where Ace Bhatti features, but is leaving very shortly.

On an old episode of Corrie from 1993 I watched today, I saw Marlon Dingle from Emmerdale delivering a pizza to Denise Osbourne LOL

I was watching an old episode of Brookside the other day and Emmerdale's Ashley Thomas was on the jury that convicted Mandy and Beth Jordache of Trevors murder !!

Not 100% sure, but I think it was 'Ashley Thomas from Emmerdale' who was the driver responsible for accidentally knocking down Lisa Duckworth and killing her in 1992 or 93.

Wow Ashley from Emmerdale (John Middleton) gets about. He played a consultant in Corrie June 2nd 1995. He was the one who told the then Deidre Rachid that Samir was brain dead and they wanted to harvest his organs as well as donating the kidney to Tracey. Seeing Samir in a coma was his best acting work in Corrie!!! Just kidding...I liked Samir.
