It won`t be long until Emmerdales 40th Anniversary next year.
Any speculation as to what Emmerdale will do to celebrate it?
To start us off, here`s the first episode split into two parts. YouTube has quite a few early ones. I`m up to episode 10 now LOL.

Emmerdale do disasters well, but I doubt if they can top the plane crash.
I hope Pauline Quirke can be persuaded to stay a few extra months to celebrate their 40th.

I`m guessing a disaster with the rock festival over at Home Farm. If Megan Macey is one of the victims I wouldn`t be too upset.

Stuart Blackburn gave an interview somewhere and the bits I remember are a wedding and two pregnancies....we know one is Debbie, I am guessing the other is Gennie.

I`m guessing Gennie too. What sort of Dad would Nikil make? Not a very good one I`m guessing. He`s such a germaphobe I doubt if he`ll be changing any nappies.

I never realised until this week how short Robbie is - even Katie towers over him LOL. I don`t know what to think of Robbie yet. I`m sure he will turn out to be a villain who will try to rip off both Declan and Megan at the rock festival - maybe even getting himself injured/killed in the process.

Nick... I hope the gorgeous Nikhil will be pleased about the pregnancy, and will turn out to be a terrific Dad. With Gennie being 18 weeks already, I`m guessing she will go into labour on the 40th anniversary show. And with a birth, there`s usually a death in soapland too - especially in an anniversary year.
If there is a death I have a sad suspicion it could be Sandy Thomas. If it is - I will be heartbroken. i`ve always loved Sandy.

All I can think of is Robbie's father must be very short as Megan is quite tall.
I would like them never to show Robbie topless again. If they want to show someone like that...let it be Carl. ;D

Do you think TVTimes will have a special 40th anniversary magazine supplement to commemorate this milestone?
