In my TV Choice magazine this week there is a picture of the Emmerdale cast receiving their 'Outstanding achievment' award...and with them was Claire King..does this mean that...no..it can't be...can Kim be coming back?

I`d love to see Kim back. Here is a longer Emmerdale 40th promo. Some of the stuff featured has already happened though. Its still pretty good regardless.

So......any guesses at which character will pop their clogs as part of the 40th Anniversary?

I have a sneaking suspicion it might be Cameron

The fact that Carl is being a total pain in the arse has everyone thinking it's him (plus the fact he is in Panto this year) I am just hoping it's going to be Cameron....I wouldn't complain if it was Marlon though, I have always detested that character.

I read somewhere that the actor playing Cameron is leaving (although it is being kept very quiet)

Don't really care who it is, as long as he/she's departure improves things! ;D

I heard Cameron is leaving too. So I hope its him and not Carl. If the writers get Chas and Carl back together after all this, I`m going to stop watching Emmerdale. It would be a complete farce, and a huge insult to our inteligence. The way they`re shoving Laurel and Marlon down our throats makes me sick too.

A lot of money seems to be on it being Alan, but that doesn't make sense, as someone on production side has already said (allegedly) that '...it will be someone who has it coming'. That surely means Carl, but of course maybe we're just meant to think that. BTW does anyone know when the 40th Anniversary show goes out?

Live episode Wednesday 17th October for one hour.
Ladbrokes odds on who will meet their maker:
The full list of odds on who could be exiting Emmerdale: 3/1 Alan Turner 4/1 Carl King 5/1 Betty Eagleton 5/1 Cameron Murray 6/1 Sarah Sugden 8/1 Paddy Kirk 8/1 Ashley Thomas 10/1 Declan Macey 10/1 Pearl Ladderbanks 16/1 Marlon Dingle 20/1 Lisa Dingle 20/1 Jai Sharma 25/1 Debbie Dingle 25/1 Jimmy King 25/1 Megan Macey 25/1 Charity Sharma
Some very odd names there. ;D

It says in the papers 'death of a much loved character' neither Carl nor Cameron are much loved
the plot thickens

Brilliant episode all roundand I never noticed any mistakes (apart from the 'bendy' brick. It had me gripped from start to finish so much so that I forgot it was live. It had a good mix of drama and comedy, but I was so hoping the victim would be Cameron.
RIP Carl. ;D

My only minor quibble is that some of the scenes were too short and it jumped around a bit too quickly..but other than that..great stuff and we thoroughly enjoyed it
Well done to all concerned
RIP Carl (sob)

I thought Emmerdale's 40th was excellent and they all did a really good job. Its also been brilliant since the 40th just over a month ago - well done Emmerdale.
I have just stated watching the Emmerdale Farm Volume 1 DVD - up to episode 9 at the moment and really enjoying the early eps.

I`m up to episode 70 Jez - thanks to some kind soul uploading them at a private tracker I belong to. And I am loving them. Agreed 100% about the 40th anniversary and the aftermath Jez. I stopped watching EE, but still watch Emmerdale and Corrie faithfully. I still don`t like Cameron, Ali and a few others. But it hasn`t stopped me watching it unlike EE where there are so many unpleasant characters and storylines it turned me right off.
