Do any of you use Iplayer to watch your soaps?
There is one soap I really hope you watch and it`s 'Pobol Y Cwm'. It`s my opinion that it beats all the other soaps hands down with its content of excellent storylines, superb characters, and great acting. It has a small community feel that Corrie used to do so well years ago.
I`m not able to use Iplayer in my region, but I`m sure it`s subtitled. I get my PYC fix via downloads at a private tracker. Maybe I`m biased because I`m Welsh but it really is an excellent soap.
Some of the current storylines haven`t been shown as far as I know in other soaps. The main storyline being a male rape. It really was so tastefully done, and the impact of it really gave the actors involved some excellent dialogue and acting skills.
In some ways it reminds me of Emmerdale during some farm scenes. The writing is on par with Corrie when it used to be good....especially the touches of humour that made me laugh out loud in parts.
There is this one character called Danni who is obsessed with her cute little dog Brandi. This little dog has more outfits than I do. When Danni was packing Brandi`s case to stay at the kennels while she went on holiday, she even had little coat hangers for those outfits!!! LOL
