Well I must say that wasn't too bad....if Oswin is his new assistant how are they going to get round the fact she is a Dalek?..unless he meets her in her past !?!?!

'Fraid we stopped watching halfway through last series, as it seemed (to us) to be getting hopelessly confusing. Shame, because I like the casting of all the main characters. .......and anyway the Paralympics was on C4. ;D

I don't like it when the stories seem to cover months at a time
In the old days the stories tended to cover 3 or 4 weeks (sometimes longer) but at the end of each adventure you usually saw the Doctor and his companions land at their next adventure so you had a sense of time and continuity. So that if an actor played the assistant for 3 years you could assume that they were the Doctors comapnion for 3 years etc..
And I don't like it when you get the likes of Sophie Rayworth, Brian Cox and Alan Sugar having cameos....all too gimmicky

RTD started the gimmicks. Lovely touch having Kate Lethbridge-Stewart but a shame not even a pic of the Brig.
I know what you mean. I still like Matt Smit though. He's so quirky like the past Doctors. The stories are still a bit rushed but no fast resolution in seconds like under RTD. This renewed my interest which waned under RTD.
