Just been reading a few old threads and wondered which soaps you would have liked 'saved'?

Me?

Eldorado - great setting...and just as it was starting to improve...

Moving Wallpaper/Echo Beach - brilliant idea - a soap within a soap + comedy, and set in Cornwall, which has got to be a good thing

Brookside - yes it got rubbish in it's later years, but the early stuff was fantastic, and look at some of the talent that came out of it.

Definatley Eldorado for me, I don't think they gave it enough time..they had loads of problems at the beginning with sound and bad actors but Corrine Hollingsworth came in and sorted the problems and cleared out the deadwood and it was really beginning to pick up and be really good...then they axed it !!

Also I agree about Brookside for the the first 13 years it was excellent, realistic not over sensationalistic, then suddenly Lindsay Corkhill became a gangster and it all went mad !!!
