I hope not Homer......it`s been abysmal for a long time. Although with a lot of teens voting numerous times EE could win.

Voted for Alan and Natalie, and Corrie as Best Soap - would usually vote for Emmerdale, but it's been so bloody awful over last few months, and Corrie has been better (IMO).

British Soap Awards 2014 is on in the background, I've only got one eye on it, as awards ceremonies don't really do it for me. It doesn't matter to me who wins, as I think a lot of these things are ... hmm, well not 'fixed', exactly, but 'understood'... shall we say. Hayley and Roy cleaned up, and rightly so - they are legends, but that doesn't mean that other storylines weren't excellent, too. From occasional glances at the screen I have noticed that: Charlie Stubbs is now in Emmerdale, Candice the hairdresser is now in Hollyoaks, and the bloke who shot Ernie Bishop is now in Doctors. I wonder where Tina McIntyre and Peter Barlow will be this time next year - maybe running the Queen Vic? I like the way they've got a lot of ex soap stars giving the awards - Ian Mckellen, whose Mel Hutchright was part of a brilliant storyline, but I'm sure he is just on 'cos he's currently promoting some X-Men thing or other: and blimey, doesn't Martin Kemp look old these days?

Didn't bother watching as I'd already seen who won what. Corrie did well.

From what I've been reading elsewhere, many of Hollyoaks' storylines have been ripped off from past EE so that's probably why they won.

This year's winners and although I'm sad Anne Kirkbride died, I'm glad she didn't win Best Scene. Hurling a trifle against a wall in a rant isn't that good and to give it to someone dead over something far better is insulting. I saw Donna's demise and thought that was good. Stupid but good.

I`m so happy Adam got the awards he so richly deserved. he has been overlooked for years. I hope he got a standing ovation.
I am also thrilled Amelia got the award for best young performance. I`ve loved little April from Emmerdale since her first appearance. She`s a little darling, and a good actress for someone so young.
If there are any disappointments, it was Ryan Hawley (Robert Sugden) didn`t get best villain. But he was up against some stiff competition.

sooty....hopefully with Corrie only winning one award - it will make the Granada bosses rethink Jabba the Hat as producer. Under his reign, Corrie are losing fans in droves (me included)
