From DS
Neighbours bosses have announced that Jack Lassiter is returning to the soap.
Alan Hopgood, who played the character in 1986, recently arrived back on set to reprise the role for a guest appearance.
The returnee has one of the most recognisable names in the show's history, as he took over Erinsborough's local hotel and called it Lassiter's over 20 years ago. The hotel is still regularly featured in storylines to this day.
Jack's new storyline will see him sharing more scenes with Stefan Dennis, who plays Paul Robinson.
Speaking of his return, Hopgood commented: "I thoroughly enjoyed returning to the set. In some ways things hadn't changed and others it was very different, which made it interesting.
"It didn't take long at all to settle back in, everyone made me feel very welcome. It was terrific working with Stefan again who is so professional and I also enjoyed working with the new cast."
Jack's return will involve dispensing some of his wealth, which will have some of the local residents "scrambling for a piece of the action".
Neighbours airs his comeback scenes on August 27 in Australia and September 24 in the UK.
It Will Be interesting to see what he looks like after all these years
