I cannot disagree with those posts at all. Antony Cotton is seriously deluded, and also paranoid if he thinks that he is bashed because of his sexuality. It`s his obvious disdain for the Corrie fans that`s the problem. His true self was shown on IACGMOOH warts and all. And even before that he was despised. I can`t speak for gay people because I`m not gay. But if they say he`s a stereotype and putting the gay cause back 20 years then I believe them, and are with them 100% Brooke Vincent is the opposite of Cotton in every way. Even though she only plays a gay female, she never gets slammed for it because she is a sweetheart in real life, and a believable actress . She even gave back fans money who paid to see her. I can`t imagine Cotton doing something nice like that.

John Partridge wasn't abused either and he's gay. It is more about AC the person than Prawn the character.

I love John Partridge - not only good looking, but a great actor too.
Even if prawn does act like a stereotype mincing gay type like Mr Humphries on AYBS, then it would be in prawns favour. Maybe then people would like him as they loved John Inman. But AC can`t even make that believable. The strange this is, when AC first came to CS I liked him. It was only about a year later when he won best actor at a soap awards ceremony that fame went to his head and he became spiteful and big headed.

Trouble is, he IS a stereotypical mincing gay man. As you say, people loved John Inman. There was also Larry Grayson. However, his acting is more wooden that Epping Forest and he's shown himself to be a horrible person.

Personally I cannot claim to be tuned into the 'gay cause', but if I were I wouldn't want Anthony Cotton representing me. He comes across as a bit of a nob, and the character of Sean has been so stale for such a long time now, it's time he left.

He`s so hateful, selfish and sneaky. It makes me weep that they got rid of Marcus and kept prawn and Todd instead....or should that be Toad
