Getting rid of Stuart Blackburn would be a start.

we have all been agreeing for years... too many episodes, too many characters,...too much sensationalism
They should read this pages to find the solutions lol

It apparently took EE longer to dip to it's really low figures but Corrie happened this year. EE is on the rise again but the actual figures are only creeping up. It seems TV in general is getting less viewers. I had to endure Corrie on ITV player to update my Barb site with the end of Dennis Tanner. It was dire - writing and acting - and made me glad I wasn't sitting through it weekly!

Pats...I don`t know what it is about itv player lately.....but it`s not showing some episodes til the next day. The 8.30 Corrie was up last night, but the 7.30 one wasn`t there. So I had to wait til this morning to watch both. It`s done the same with Emmerdale eps too in the past.

Easy answer? Scrap all the soaps and spend all that time and money on producing more of the short quality drama series that all channels are capable of making when they put their minds to it. (can't quite believe the amount of time I've wasted over the years watching soaps - now have an average one hour per day more when we can watch decent stuff we've recorded. )

I've been saying for years SLs should be character driven. I am sick to death of death and destruction.

LOL Pats I`m watching Corrie by habit more than actually looking forward to the show like I used to do. I don`t think I could be as brave as you Nick giving up on soaps completely as I watch so many... Corrie, Emmerdale,Pobol Y Cwm, Home & Away, Neighbours, Doctors, Casualty and Holby City. Plus I watch Cagney & Lacey and All Saints on Hulu. And last week I spent 14 hours watching a Roosevelt documentary on PBS online. I`m a bit embarrassed at how much I do watch. But I justify it by doing a lot of knitting while I watch. i have so many projects on the go that have to be finished by Christmas. I just hope I get to finish them in time.
