Zoe Tate actress Leah Bracknell has been diagnosed with terminal lung cancer.
The actress, who starred in the show between 1989 and 2005, was rushed to hospital last month for an emergency operation and was later given the devastating news that her cancer was inoperable and incurable
However, Leah and her partner Jez Hughes have set up a fundraising page in the hope that they can raise enough money to allow her to be treated in a specialist clinic in Germany.
This is such sad news. A lovely actress and what a great character she played.
It would appear that thanks to fans, cast and crew from Emmerdale etc the target has been reached.
Fingers crossed the treatment will be successful.
