Another Charlie type: flatterer/seducer of insecure old bags, and obviously out for himself. He's got money worries, and is now on Liz's doorstep (or rather Steve's doorstep) getting his feet under the table. I don't particularly like Liz as a character, and all her ludicrous boyfriends since she chucked Big Jim, so she did, have gone from bad to worse. Solution: dump Liz and the ludicrous boyfriends will also disappear.

That's right, sootycat, and he was a shifty bug-eyed sleaze bag in that role too.

Vernon is a total pi$$-taker - it's so obvious he's going to try it on with the new, young sexy singer in the band.
Of the two Macdonald parents Jim was the better one.
Bin Liz and bring back Jim!
All Liz does is dress like a tart and attract nobheads like Vernon.

Agreed so I do. Given a choice between Liz and Jim I'd go for Jim everytime. I always hated Liz.

I like her now. Good comedy character. Pauline Calf style. This Vernon character will only be axed in the end. Another dodgy bloke. Yawn.

Jim is loud and aggressive, but at least with some character.
Liz is a down-trodden wife and mother who is making up for lost time sex-wise and is a total embaressment. If they gave her decent boyfriends/ storylines she might be salvageable but as it is she is pretty dreadful - and no longer seems to have any interest in Amy her grand-daughter since Animal from the Muppets has shown up and made her his roadie.

I was sending a text while trying to do the word count earlier and left it running and his fake northern accent is bad. I still see him as the Chief Clown from Dr Who in 1988.

I agree that Liz's wardrobe has vastly improved recently. We haven't seen any leopard skin in quite a while actually - have we? And straight hair suits her completely.
As for Vern I don't mind him too much, and Kym Marsh isn't too bad either so far. I thought she was a bit better than what I expected, but not an awful lot better! I hated Jim so much, and really hope that he doesn't return AGAIN!!!

She's still well past her sell-by date tho', and all her desperate flings recently have been painful to watch.
She did have a great line in last night's show tho', to Bev, glancing across to Michelle.
"Those legs have got ambitions".

The singer is usually the main focal point in any band - not the drummer.
A good looking talented singer like Michelle could pull crowds of blokes and have her pick, unlike a skull-faced, bug-eyed has-been like Vernon who scrabbles around for groupie seconds like Liz.
Liz has dressed more her age recently, except the awful off the shoulder top from the other night - yeuch, too old luv, please wear a vest.

Thought the very same, and wondered if anyone had just given him a really vicious wedgie?
...or maybe it's piles?
...or too much starch in his undercrackers?
