Well he did a runner then. Disappointed with the ending of this one, cant they let anyone be happy?
Nice that Gail and Eileen turned up though.

I wasn't expecting it either - a nice little twist.
He only ran off after Gail and Eileen arrived - maybe he was only going through with the wedding to spite the mothers-in-law, and when they turned up he realised he couldn't go through with it.

Well, let's face it, the character of Jason Grimshaw is as thick as shite in the neck of a bottle. He clearly took Charlie's homily on the undesirability of the institution belatedly to heart.

I think its an awful thing to do. Can anybody imagine who Sarah must have felt to be jilted at the altar, I really do think people who wimp out at the last second are just cruel and unbelievable, whether or not they intend to be. If they have any doubts, its before the ceremony you air them, not on the day! I bet Gail will be pleased.
One thing I find a little rich is her saying she wanted better for her daughter, thats all well and good, she is an uneducated teenage mum from a dysfunctional and divided family. Unfortunately, that would kill any chance of her meeting somebody better. Personally I believe Gale's attitude was because Jason is a Grimshaw.

Thanks for the article Billy....I loved it. Especially the deer in lemon juice reference. ;D I had to laugh at Blanche with her dark glasses pretending to be blind to get to the front of queues. A great double episode with the excellent mix of drama and humour that Corrie does very well. 9/10 It would`ve been 10/10 but lost a point for Adam being in some scenes

Pity it's the 2nd jilting in a year. More originality is needed.

I just have to say, Blanche for me is one of my favourite characters. I don't know what it is about her I like, its just she is just such an obviously ghastly woman there is something amusing watching her state the truth in such an insulting fashion. Gale just irritates me though, I have never been keen on her, truthfully Sarah is just one of those girls that will just never seem to have a good relationship, I think she is too loose, but there again, I may be being a bit harsh.

Please help out this tired fried brain Pats, and remind me who was jilted first. I just can`t think of it. Must be the onset of altzheimers. Or maybe the storyline was so boring I blocked it out of my mind.

'Twas Charlie the scheming builder, left waiting at the altar by a just-in-the-nick-of-time enlightened Shelley. I remember I tuned in for that. I am not exactly 100% in the loop of Corrie, but have began wathcing it again. I cheered when Shelly ditched Stubbsy, but, whatever could have possessed her to have a one night stand with him after all he did to her?

Thanks Billy for the reminder. I can remember the Mavis and Derek non event very well. How typical of their characters. It was very well done. Anyone remember the non event of Alan Bradley and Rita when he thought he`d surprise her at the registry office and she turned him down flat. I can remember feeling glad that I hadn`t read the papers beforehand and Rita turning him down flat was a complete surprise.

It's a bloody epidemic in soaps at the moment: in EE Honey and Billy keep failing to get married (less 'jilting' more 'jesting') and then Rosie dumped Keef mid vows and flounced off to the countryside.

Yep. Honey and Billy is quite funny but it is getting tedious.

I feel sorry for Eillen though. She`ll have to bear the brunt of Jason jilting Sarah. Shame on him letting his mother clean up another one of his messes. He`ll have to do a lot of crawling for Sarah to take him back. No doubt she will though.

They seem obsessed with jiltings in soaps - in the few years we have had at least 3 in Corrie!

They managed to get the most fantastic scenic register office ever - never seen that one before, it was lovely.
When booking your wedding, maybe everyone should check whether the bog windows are large enough for a last minute escape - may prove more useful than the idyllic surroundings.

Perhaps Shelley didn`t fancy taking Charlies surname, that`s why she ditched him. After all who would want a surname that implies he`s short and stubby in certain departments. ;D
