Is there any one else worried about Claire's supermum behaviour.
She's like a whirlwind, she seems to be coping far better than before the arrival of the nameless one.
I have a horrible feeling she will suddenly collapse. Or will this be the next storyline. ??

You're right, sootycat, she must be exhausted but probably feels she has got to be 100% perfect, maybe to try and compete with the late Maxine?

I wonder if she is keeping busy because she isn't bonding with baby Peacock

I read that Claire will suffer from post natal depression. Living with Ashley, how could we tell? ;D

LOL! Post-Ashley depression! If she's trying to compete with Maxime, maybe she'll get a crowbar on her head. Patsy

This storyline, lol... my mother would have had a few choice words for it if she were still alive as an avid Corrie watcher I can just hear her now.
"In my day there was none of this post depression nonsense! You just looked after your baby and got on with it. We didn't have time for such silliness. Why is it only in modern times this thing has come about? Women being drama queens thats why!"
Oh I can just hear her now. OMG scary. Have to say, I sort of agree with her. I never had that, and I have had 5.
Though from what I have seen recently, I think its definately competition, nobody can live up to the great `Maxeem` and that is undeniably putting a great deal of pressure on her. Its not really very fair. And the way Ashley is behaving about Josh, a kid that is not even his. Makes me wonder just what goes on in Ashley's head - if anything!

LOL my mum would say the same Mrs Demigod, she said she probanbaly had what they call post natal depression after I was born, especially as she had my brother and me so close together, but she just got on with it.

It's unrealistic - post-natal depression or not anyone with a new baby is exhausted, and Claire has Josh to care for too. There's no shame in being tired, and if people come round they have to take you as they find you when you've had about 3 hours sleep in a week. Claire is too energetic, and she is walking very briskly too - she obviously didn't have stitches!

I read somewhere the nameless one is to be called Thomas.

I read somewhere the nameless one is to be called Thomas. Very biblical: Thomas - as in doubting Thomas (doubting who his father is, given Ashley's family history) who is delivered by Matthew - the non-fisherman, the educated apostle (ie Matt the doctor). Sounds like the script-writers are trying to tell us something.

I seem to recall Ashley going in for tests years ago and being found to be virtually infertile...hence all the hoo ha when Maxine became pregnant

That's right, Nick, he had problems, but while he was in the hospital getting treatment that's when Dr Matt did the dirty deed with Maxine. Ashley's treatment was declared a success, as in he was now more fertile than he had been, but Maxine was already knocked up.
