I had a crush on Matt ...the one married to Dolly. I think that`s why I like Paddy - because he reminded me of Matt

Am trying to think of Matts surname. Was it Skilbeck? And was Dollys maiden name Acaster? I used to like Joe too Valder. I never liked anyone on EastEnders until the Ferarriers came into it. ooh Ash was absolutely gorgous. When Raji James left, I went right off EE. In Corrie I used to love Des Barnes. It was such a shame he was killed off. I also loved Dennis Stringer, and Harry Flagg. Seems to me I`m a jinx when it comes to liking people...they always get killed off or leave.

yes your right Corriegirl Matts surname was Skilbeck and Dolly his second wife`s (his first wife was Peggy Jack and Joe`s sister) maiden name was Acaster . now i think of it your right Paddy is a lot like Matt and I like him too btw my friend`s call me Val ok . not sure if I liked anyone in Eastenders apart from Ian(ok he is devious , not good looking but there is something about him I like) until the Ferarriers (your right Ash was gorgous ,) ee went off a lot when they left then Alfie moon came in it and saved it, he was funny and lovely, when he and Kat left I lost interest in ee .too many fight`s in it and no story it seem`s to be now . In Corrie I liked Des Barne`s too it is a shame they killed him off :,( I don`t know why they killed him off they could have given him a happy ending. Denis Stringer was nice so was Harry Flag, at first I loved Martin Platt then he married Gail (I went off him a lot after that ) and I liked Curly Watt`s , and I love Dev (just wish he could get back together with Sunita the twin`s with Amber). your not a jinx Corriegirl when it come`s to likeing people just a bit unlucky that they get killed off or leave , if your a jinx when it come`s to likeing people then please like Charlie and Tracy in corrie fast ;p lol

Almost choked on my Pepsi then Val. LOLOL Good one. And talking of Valda...she was my fave character in Neighbours....I even had Valda as an avator at one Neighbours messageboard - until it was closed down and another site opened up. By the way....my wedding anniversary is on Corries official Birthday Val. Although I`m not as old as Corrie. I`ve been married 17 yrs this year. A milestone in this day and age

oh please don`t choke Corriegirl or you`ll waste good pepsi ;p lol ,I only visited now and again but I wondered what happened to Neighbour`s message board one min it was there and next it wasn`t thank`s Corriegirl you`ve just solved that mystery for me;). Valda oh yes she was a good one my fave character in that well Ihad two of them one was Toadfish until he was a lawyer ( he wasn`t the same then as he got serious ) the other one was in nieghbour`s past Charlene (I cried bucket`s when she married Scott it was such a lovely wedding)and congratulation`s in advance for your wedding aniversary 17 yr`s well done for reachiing it btw and mind and celebrate it in style with your husband ok your right it is a milestone in this day and age:) (I celebrated our wedding aniversary on the first of june this year we`ve been married now for 21 year`s, is that a record in this day and age? )(my hubby`s got a lousy memory for date`s so made it an easy day for him to remember and married on the first of that month lol). I`m (whisper,47 year,`s old ), I`m not sure but I think Corrie is a bit older than me too (crossing finger`s and hopeing corrie is older than me ;p). (btw my valda is just my name shortened, (Val short for valerie, my friend`s call me val anyway and da , is my surname davenport )but it sound`s exotic and I like it ;D)

Oh thanks Val, you solved a mystery for me an` all. I thought Valda was your screen name because you were a fan of Valda from Neighbours. It sounds very exotic, you`re right. I loved Neighbours when it first came out, and also cried buckets when Charlene and Scott got married. As a matter of fact "Especially for you" by Jason and Kylie was played at our wedding and was hubby and I`s song to dance to at the reception. LOL Corrie is 46 this year so you were still a baby when Corrie started. I can remember sneaking down to the living room to watch Corrie when I should have been in bed and was watching Corrie through a crack on the partialy opened door. Must`ve been about 5 or 6. I figured my parents must`ve known I was there, but as long as I was quiet and went staight to bed afterwards they didn`t tell me off lol. There was one scene in Corrie I can remember vividly. They were at this stately home and then there were scenes of barges or boats on the river...I think barges. Anyway I researched the scene a few years ago and the storyline was from 1969 so I was 5 then. It`s funny how some things stick in your mind huh.

I wasn`t referring to you, but to other fans of EE, and there must be a lot of them. You`ve made us more than aware what you think of the soaps. You really must learn to read our posts properly before you make a comment/pass judgement. I just don`t understand why you continue to slag off soap fans who do enjoy their soaps. Are you just out to cause trouble Rob? It seems that way to me....especially as you seem to be singling Val out to vent your spleen. It`s unkind and unfair. By the way you never did answer my question. The one where I asked if you hate soaps so much why do have a user name of Hilda Ogden?

Well said valda; this site is supposed to be enjoyable, as well as informative, but unfortunately some people with nothing better to do like to use it as a vehicle to wind up everybody else.

Corrie Street will always be my fave soap. It`s like comfort food for the soul...soothing and it leaves you wanting more. Yet too much of it would probably make me sick. That`s the way I feel about it anyway.

It's also my favourite, too - but I'd be very happy for it to be sponsered by Twiglets, or Gregg's sausage rolls lol!

mmm sausage rolls. We don`t have any Greggs bakeries here so I make my own sausage rolls and they`re quite authentic even if I say so myself. I use frozen puff pastry. My kids and hubby love `em and they`re always a hit at parties. I make my own fresh cream eclairs too...quite easy when you know how. The way Tracey and Maria are behaving lately, maybe Corrie ought to consider having Durex as one of their sponsers

Soaps are the worst form of entertainment, it is common knowledge. In the last ten years or so the soaps have declined in terms of quality and the writing and acting gets worse. As for Eastenders, it started in 1985 as sh*t, got sh*ter as it went into the 1990's and since we have come into the 21st century it has been the sh*test of the lot. The sooner this pile of horse excrement is put out of its misery the better. Then can I suggest you find something else to do with your weekday evenings! The offbutton was made for a reason. If you think that a show is horse sh*te then you arn't under any obligation to watch it and if you think theres an issue with bad characters/actor/stories etc then unless you're exec producer there isn't a alot you can do. Nobody's forcing you to watch, so don't. It's simple. I mean like you're allowed to have your opinion; you're entitled, I'm not saying you're not allowed to have it or anything but at the end of the day, sitting on the sofa, watching a soap and moaning about it is all very well but it's the Soap actors that get up every day at the crack o dawn just to preovide entertainment for us all.
