I've been thinking about it, and I cannot think of any other Scots characters in Coronation Street besides Adam Baldwin of the comedy barnett. Have there been any? I'm sure some of you experts out there will know.

I've racked my brain and I can't think of any, I can think of a few Welsh and Irish, but not Scottish.

The only Welsh people they have had in it weren`t very nice characters. Seems to me those writers are very anti Welsh. Another Scottish person I can think of was that boyfriend of Gails that Demon David detested. Phil something

Phil Nail!
Well there was Susan and Peter Barlow who were Scottish as well, depending on which actor played them! Although they obviously werent born in Scotland.
With regard to Welsh people, there has been Granny and Idris Hopkins who rented the Corner Shop - the daughter Tricia was Manchester born and bred I think though. There was also a Welsh guy who Toyah took a fancy to on holiday in Wales but he preferred Janice!

The Scottish are seriously unrepresented in Corrie, unlike Eastenders where there have been quite few characters - mainly rough, tough bullish cops of the Taggart variety.
