Really? I must have liked something else. 2004 wasn't anywhere near as appalling as 2005. LOL! Ah, Granada Plus forum. You know I don't miss it now but do wonder what happened to the lovely Adrian. Don't wonder what happened to some of our fellow mods though. Patsy

I remember you saying you liked some of Mad Maya but not the amount of padding. I agreed there as 3 in one night was too much.
Ah yes the lovely Adrian, he was nice. LOL! mods like Elsie and that one who was deleting posts.

Oh yes. Let me see. Wasn't it last ep on the Monday then the climax I enjoyed? Still surprised Reet's wig didn't go up in flames as well. Polyester is very combustible. Didn't need 8 that week. Very chatty Adrian when he rang up ad so funny. Oh I'd forgotten all about Elsie Tanner. I really thought she was going to pass my tally. One who was deleting posts? Oh yes! Blanked from my mind. LOL! Patsy

I very much doubt I will ever go back, Alice. And it's so easy t get behind with Emmerdale. I have 3 weeks worth to catch up with and sometimes I just can't be bothered. Patsy emmerdale is very much a lot of quantity at regular bursts, 6 a week. I find Corrie easier to follow and though that too suffers from similar syndromes to Emmerdale. I stopped watching Emmerdale due to getting fed up, I may go back to it, I probably will, but, if you do go back, I think I can in my own way, perhaps not accurately, relate to you.

LOL yes Pats, I think you did enjoy the last episode on the Monday and the Wednesday. Even I thought the middle episode on the monday was full of padding - could have done it with the usual double episode so no need for 3.
Alice, I agree. I doubt I will ever go back to Emmerdale now, for one thing I dont really have time to watch it, so unless they went back to say 3 episodes a week but we know that wont happen! I find Corrie easier as its not on every night in a row, I actually prefer 1 on a Sunday and 2 on a Monday to having it every weeknight, although 3 a week would be better!

Maria asked David what Charlie had been talking to him about. David was anxious not to show he'd been intimidated, but then said " then he went all muscle-mary on me". What?? Muscle-mary What the bloody hell is that ? Who is muscle Mary? Never heard the term before - or are the corrie scrioptwriters really gettin' "down wiv da kids" ?

Really? I must have liked something else. 2004 wasn't anywhere near as appalling as 2005. LOL! And let's not forget Corrie does have quite a lot of humour in it which is more than you can say for any of the other soaps. But back to David and Maria ~ if this develops into a relationship that will make Maria's character an absolute loser ~ turning down Liam for David? I don't think so. I know it was because of Charlie but surely Liam will chance his luck again now it's all out in the open and surely this time she'll say yes - this will give David more opportunity to sulk and pull stupid faces - he mustn't ever watch himself or he'd stop doing it ......

Before anyone asks - it's not a northern expression - I've never heard it before - and I have to say I didn't actually pick up on it - could it have been something that just sounded like that?

About David's car.... If he is sitting in the driving seat, with the engine running, even if he is just listening to music and not driving the car - isn't he still the person in charge of the car? And if so - he is not old enough to drive or hold a licence, so isn't it illegal for him to be in charge of the vehicle when it's parked in a public street? I'm not a driver, so I don't know much about these things, but I was under the impression that he could be nicked if the cops went past while he was in the car.

Muscle Mary is a gay slang term for a gay man who goes to the gym a lot Thanks for that, Nick. Wonder how that works, then? David clearly isn't gay, as he obviously intends to blackmail the knickers off of Tracy. Are 14 year olds given to using gay slang terms?

I suppose it depends who is writing the script....Jonathan Harvey is gay,so he probably slips these things in

The little sod needs a big kick up the arse in one way or another - and it's not gonna come from Gail. Despite everything she defends him - hopefully he'll be shot down in flames at Tracey's trail and banged up for perjury.
